Thank You

It has been my honor and privilege to serve the citizens of Jeffco for the last four years, and we worked very hard to extend that service for another four years.  Unfortunately, we were swimming against a difficult tide, and the voters have chosen Donald Rosier as your next Commissioner.

I want to thank everyone who has contributed so much to this race – the volunteers, donors, advisors.  I will forever appreciate how much you have given to me.  I want to especially thank my campaign manager, Jessica Metzler, who has worked tirelessly for the last ten months.  Thanks also to my incredible husband, who has put up with my absence almost every night and every weekend.  Thanks to all of you.  I will carry the memories of how you have supported me with me for a very long time.

Join me in wishing Commissioner-elect Rosier the very best.  He is inheriting some significant challenges in moving the county forward in these challenging times.

As for me, I am looking for my next adventure.  I am sure it will also be full of challenges and opportunities.

Thanks for everything.

 Kathy Hartman

 Mile High News

Jefferson County Commissioner – Hartman. Incumbent Commissioner Kathy Hartman, if nothing else, is visible in the community. She is everywhere, talking with voters, listening to their concerns, and representing the county on a variety of boards and commissions. But Hartman is more than just a gad-about-towner. She has a good track record of working with the board of commissioners as a whole, and seems to be fiscally responsible while understanding the importance of encouraging job growth. We appreciate Hartman's service to the county, and think she deserves another term. Vote Hartman for Jefferson County Commissioner, District 3.

Ever-present Hartman deserves our votes

Editor:

I am 15 and not able to vote, but if I could, I would cast it for Kathy Hartman. As county commissioner she can be seen around South Jefferson County a lot.

I attended a meeting at The Peak, and she was there. I spoke at our civic association meeting, and she was there also. Best of all, I was trying to track down the correct ownership of a plot of land that I was proposing to re-landscape for our neighborhood, as my Eagle Scout Project. You guessed it, Hartman was able to find the answer and direct me to the individuals to speak with.

It has been great having such an involved commissioner in our community. Ms. Hartman, you have my future vote.

Welcome to my website

Three years ago, I was both proud and humbled to be elected your Jefferson County Commissioner.  Since then, I have worked tirelessly to stand up for Jeffco - for the things that make Jeffco such a great place for you and your family.

Among my accomplishments:

  • Chosen Colorado Freshman Commissioner of the Year in 2007 by Colorado Counties, Inc.
  • Endorsed by over 30 Jefferson County area elected officials from both parties
  • Bringing hundreds of New Energy Economy jobs to Jeffco
  • Assuring that West and Gold FastTracks corridors
    will be completed as scheduled
  • Increasing government accountability by putting our financial records on-line.
  • Moving crucial land-use and budget hearings to evenings, and webcasting all our hearings, so you can see your government at work at a time convenient to you.
  • Increasing support for local non-profits serving seniors, children, distressed families, and disabled children and adults
  • Protecting Open Space, community trails and local parks
  • Providing needed human services in this economic downturn without increasing taxes.

I am running for a second term to complete what I have started.  This campaign is not about me - it is about standing up for you and your family.  I hope you will stand with me, by volunteering, by making a contribution, or just by talking to your friends and neighbors.  Together, we can ensure that Jeffco remains a great place to live, work, and play.

Thanks for your support,
